Michael Leonardi | "Silhouette"

The talented Michael Leonardi has captured our hearts again, this time with his latest EP “Silhouette”. Michael bears it all on this 5 song masterpiece that recounts the stories and emotions on the journey to becoming the musician he is today. 

Since he was 15, Leonardi has had a passion for music. He’s been given the opportunity to travel the world and work on productions with some of the most skilled artists in the industry. His background with classical music has influenced the sound of this EP. Layered instruments complement the lyrics that make you feel seen .   

That’s not to say that there haven’t been any challenges. The Sicilian, Sydney born musician was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease at a very young age. The struggles Michael faces have taught him how to be vulnerable and expressive; how to recreate the feelings of love, happiness, and even pain through music, for a world that is so heavily dependent on sight. In the title track and in songs like “Everytime” and “Haunting Me”, he expertly expresses the losses he’s encountered in a way that moves you without bringing you down. 

The introspective lyricism and powerful production in “Silhouette” touches your heart in a way that so few other bodies of work can; leaving us yearning for more of his impactful music.
