Blanco White "On The Other Side"

This week, we have a bit of a crush on Blanco White's album On the Other Side! Following the release of teaser singles such as "Desert Days," "Samara," and "Papillon," On the Other Side is a gorgeous set of eleven delicate tracks, each of which rolls into the next like an atmospheric tidal wave. The record is filled with lush guitar and the charango, an instrument native to the Andes that creates a wonderful, soft shrillness. The music is just as key as the lyrics, as they work together to make for beautiful pieces of poetry soundtracked by atmospheric instrumentals. We feel very lucky to be gifted this wonderful album by White, especially in a time when we are in need of something to wind us down.
