This week, we're crushing on the beautiful, enigmatic new pop face that is Aya Yves. We especially love to show our support for young female artists coming up, and this song is 100% deserving of the praise we're about to heap on it. Aya boasts vocals on par with Florence and the Machine and Sia, and we don't say that lightly. Not to mention the absolutely stellar production, courtesy of Xavier Dunn whose impressive catalogue also crosses genres and styles (Jack River, CXLOE, Graace, Carmada, Peking Duk). This track is layered with smooth, dreamy vocals, passionate lyrics which tell a tumultuous love story, and a hook that will imprint itself into the minds and hearts of all who hear it. Xavier’s production provides an evocative backdrop, over which Aya Yves’ vocals ripple and flutter, telling a familiar tale of love-induced madness.
