ZEKIEL "9 Days Straight"

​This week, we are mega crushing on the latest release from Zekiel, “9 Days Straight”! The Sydney-based hip-hop artist delves into something personal to him, detailing the story of a vicious cycle of addiction and disregard of the self. The song itself is centred around a soft guitar riff, complete with a trap-inspired snare loop, setting the scene for the melancholy nature of the track. The name-dropping hook is catchy enough to distract from Zekiel’s storytelling in his verses, making for a rather interesting dualistic back-and-forth style song. While it does make us a little sad, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed “9 Days Straight” and are keen to hear more new tunes from Zekiel!
