Reb Fountain is offering the third helping of her upcoming album “Iris” with her latest single “Lacuna”. Released alongside the picturesque music video, “Lacuna” is quintessential Reb. Folk driven with rock roots, this track embodies the best of New Zealand’s alt-folk scene.
“Lacuna is the space for our voice to emerge into. A new dance that welcomes you into the void, to the all. It’s a reckoning, an opportunity to expand and contract anew. Welcome,” explains Reb.
“Lacuna” was shot in Queenstown, New Zealand by director Lola Fountain-Best. Reb envisioned an exploration and transformation; a dance with our many selves. She fashioned wings out of wire and foliage and they went to work filming rogue amongst autumnal skies and a forest of sunflowers.
If we weren’t already impatient for “Iris” after hearing Reb’s first two releases from the album “Heart” and “Beastie”- “Lacuna” has definitely got us on the edge of our seats.
