Phoenix | "Alpha Zulu"

This week we are crushing on GRAMMY-winning French band Phoenix as they share their first new track in two years today via Glassnote Records titled “Alpha Zulu”. The track is a radiant departure from Phoenix songs of yore, pointing towards bold new sonic horizons for one of the most beloved, innovative bands of the last two decades.

“Alpha Zulu” is both a reminder of Phoenix’s enduring influence on pop culture, and a blockbusting calling card for what’s next for the four men from Versailles. Their last released single “Identical (From The Motion Picture “On The Rocks”)” reaped great success, cementing their ability to create music for the masses.

The eclectic quartet are the perfect feel-good pop band that encapsulates the purity in dancing like no one else is around. With a funky persona and infectious melodies, the band knows how to get an audience up and grooving.​

The band comprises Thomas Mars on vocals, Deck d'Arcy on bass, and Christian Mazzalai and Laurent Brancowitz on the guitar. Phoenix are set to play at multiple festivals throughout 2022, including a homecoming show at Paris’ We Love Green festival and this year’s Primavera Sound in Barcelona. The band are also currently in the studio finishing up their first new album in five years, the follow up to 2017’s Ti Amo.
