If you’ve been here before, you’ll know that our crush on Kim Churchill isn’t news, but this week we are falling harder and faster for his latest EP “The End”.
Produced in the Blue Mountains, “The End” is the latest succession of the four part EP series, following “I Am” (recorded in Berlin, Germany) and part two “Forgetting” (recorded on Vancouver Island, Canada).
“The songs were inspired by a moment of cataclysmic change in my life and for some odd reason I felt really drawn to the sheer cliffs and ridges of the Blue Mountains to bring those heart stopping feelings into reality.” says Kim.
It’s pretty hard not to instantly fall in love with the soul capturing voice and acoustic guitar of Churchill and “The End” will make it even harder. For a moment Kim will make his own introspective journey feel like your own, bringing out the nomad from within. The six cathartic songs of “The End” are pure folk bliss that are the paradigm of Kim Chuchill.
