This week, we’re crushing on Jordan Laser’s new track “Battleship”! The Sydney-based singer/songwriter delves deep into the disillusionment and acceptance that comes with a souring relationship, combining pulsing bass lines with brooding drums in a way that highlights her distinct, mesmerising voice. Written in her home above the Lady Hampshire Pub in Sydney, Laser says, “I feel like the song was made in a pressure cooker...when the relationship was bad, the work stopped. When it was good, things moved again.” Regardless of the circumstances it was created under, “Battleship” hints at a fruitful career in the making -- this is definitely only the beginning for Jordan Laser! ​
