Hello 2018! We're off to a great start with music. This week we're crushing on Peter Michel, 24-year-old Seattle native and creative force behind Hibou. His music is described as shoegaze-frosted dream-pop which we think is spot on. If you weren't listening to the lyrics you could think this music is a little more happy than it really is, something we find really charming and beautiful about this song. Michel has been battling anxiety issues and has said his experiments with sonic textures and poetry have been a source of relief with this music. Hibou have toured with Metric, Phantogram and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, some of our fave bands, so it's no surprise we're digging this so much. If you like it as much as we do, there'll be a whole album out soon!
