It's nearly been a whole decade since Half Moon Run released their debut album in 2012 and they are continuing to bring it with each release. The latest piece from the powerhouse Canadian Indie rock group is their EP “Inwards & Onwards”, a homemade production that is an enchanting journey delving into many genres and influences.
"Sometimes limitations can provide a platform for productive creativity," notes Devon on behalf of the band. "In this case, the limitations of living in a pandemic prompted us to record and mix all of the music for the first time using only our own abilities. Attempting to keep the process simple and enjoyable, we shied away from over-production and leaned into spontaneity and happy accidents."
“On & On” the EP’s feature track takes on a jaunty and esoteric exploration, featuring their signature three-part harmonies. The band describes the track as a "contemplation on humanity’s place among the stars."
We’ve already heard and loved “How Come My Body” from the EP, and this has totally lived up to all of our hopes. We can't wait to see where Half Moon Run take us next!
