This week, we’re crushing on Draftday’s new single “Misspent”. Following up previous triple j faves “En Soi” and “Soap”, this track is the band’s most unrestrained yet, with hard-hitting drums and an unfaltering bassline. Evoking both sadness and anger, the song is an honest representation of what goes through your head after being hurt. Lead singer Arran’s vocals absolutely soar, reflecting the sense of loss and regret in the lyrics. We highly recommend checking Draftday out, especially as they’ve got a debut EP set for release in May.
