Aya Yves "Smart Girls"

This week we’re crushing hard on Aya Yves, and her new single “Smart Girls”. A quirky take on the dark-pop genre, “Smart Girls” showcases Aya Yves’ smooth and dreamy vocals, punctuated by percussive production (courtesy of Xavier Dunn) and a killer hook. 

A bit darker than her previous offering “(in)Sanity”, this track has a mysterious and almost creepy edge, especially in the first verse and pre-chorus, which then moulds into an addictively funky chorus and a melody you won’t be able to get out of your head. We love how Aya has taken a different direction with this track, not only showing off her powerhouse vocals, but playing with some breathier and gentler timbres as well.
